Rambler Roundup: The Pizza is Hitlerific! Edition
- It's been a while since I've done food closures, but this one hit too close to home. Bangkok One at 1411 K St. was closed for operating a food establishment with gross insanitary conditions, operating a food establishment with circumstances that may endanger public health, and incorrect hot & cold holding temperatures for potentially hazardous foods. I say it hits close to home because this is the closest chinese place to my office. I've always gone the extra block to Hunan Palace (not to be confused with the Royal Palace) on Vermont, and now I'm glad that I did.
- There is a new restaurant in Mumbai, India called Hitler's Cross. The restaurant is adorned with swastikas. "It's just to attract people. There is no intention to hurt anyone," said owner Puneet Sablok about his spacious restaurant, which serves pastries, pizza and salad. Right. Um, dude, that's pretty effed up. No, I mean really effed up.
- I'm leaving for a little vacay in Charleston, SC, so I won't be posting again until Monday. I'm also going to punch myself in the balls for using the word "vacay." My itinerary includes sitting on the beach of the Isle of Palms, eating a lot of food, getting falling down drunk, and discovering the supersecret location of the Playaz HQ so that an army of DC bloggers can infiltrate Playaz Ball 2007. Wish me luck.

Interesting take!
You should dine at "The Wreck" if you want to tour some of the Playaz' haunts while you are there.
As for the Hitler restaurant, it's brilliant that it doesn't even serve German food. Shouldn't it really be "Mussolini's Hat" or something like that?
This Onion article reminded me of you.
