Interesting -- I love that album, but when I saw they were coming I thought, "meh." So, basically, it's my fault. I have this kind of power. I can make baseball teams lose, too.
Good question. And if you haven't seen them live, GO. It's an AMAZING show, and the album will sound overproduced and mediocre after you see them live.
I was just discussing this with a friend. We both felt that Snow Patrol is a band that is hard to feel strongly about. You can sort of like them or sort of not like them, but I can't imagine loving them or hating them.
I for one was glad it didn't sell out right away, I was able to get tickets. There last show at the 930 Club was amazing, I can't wait to see them again
I was at the last 930 show and it was indeed phenomenal. I'm excited about the new material.
It's been often talked about, but I suppose the 930 soft sell issue merits a reminder: don't rely on the 930 club web site. When checking for shows, I always use this link:

But you already knew that.

LOVE them.
TUL - they're only $18.50 in Philly. Makes me wonder if 930 is to blame. But given they don't come around all that often, I think it's worth it.
After seeing Augustana last night, I'm a little bummed that they're opening for SP. Now I have to sit through their set again.
