Towing and Music

Well, streetcleaning has definitely started again.  I found this out this morning when my car, and every other car on the block, was noticeably absent.  Anyway, work is a bitch and I'm leaving early today, so no blog post.  If you were lucky enough to get tickets, or stupid enough to buy them off ebay at a 500% markup like I am, then I'll see you at the Death Cab / Franz Ferdinand show tonight.

Reminder, the New Amsterdams are at the Cat on Thursday.  I really love "Turn Out the Light" off the new album.

Good recommendation. I also like TNA's song "Hanging on for hope."

I'll have to check out the New Amsterdams. Are they like a Counting Crows tribute band or something? ;-)

Oops, that was a song from an older album. I still like it, though.

I tried to sell my tickets at a 500 percent markup but was lucky just to get my money back - it didn't sell out in Austin until the day before. I hear the show was great, however, so you should enjoy...

Have fun at the show. I hate you for getting to go. (No I don't.)

Speaking of tribute bands, there is a band called Aqualung that is apparently *not* a Jethro Tull cover band. WTF?

I think the DC/FF tix in DC sold out before they went on sale. Physicists are studying the stange phenomenon.

It seems like EVERY good show at 9:30 sells out before it goes on sale. I need to get a secret decoder ring so that I can read the hidden concert announcements. Or join more fan clubs. But I feel too old to be in a fan club, unless I"m really serious about my fandom.

My car, which was a virtual ticket magnet all winter, didn't get ticketed or towed today. Weather is warm; life is good.

Please tell us all about the FF/DC show, because the tickets did sell out as though time had no meaning and left some of us shivering out in the cold.

I will do a review of the show, but I'm really, really busy right now. Coming soon.
