Kibbles and Bits

  • "Oh, what sad times are these when passing ruffians can say 'ni' at will to old ladies."  "Spamalot," the Monty Python and the Holy Grail musical, is coming to the National Theater June 6-July 9.  I was willing to drive to New York to see it, but now that it's playing in my own backyard, all the better.  Now, which knight should I dress up as...?
  • My mom, barreling into the present decade, figured out you could google people's names.  So of course yesterday I got a phone call that started "I googled your name last night.  There's a lot of stuff."  Luckily, none of it's incriminating.  Thank you anonymity.
  • The Virginia House of Delegates unanimously killed their anti-smoking bill in subcommittee.  Quote of the day: "People have to take some responsibility and not expect government to do it for them." Del. John Cosgrove, R-Chesapeake.

At least she said "I googled your name" rather than "I googled you," which always kind of skeeves me out.

I didn't know Spamalot was playing in DC. Do you know if it's sold out yet? I better look into it.

Yes, thank you Virginia! Can you believe Virginia seems to be more liberal about the smoking ban than New York? Wow!

Chase - yeah, but let's be honest, only because Philip Morris has been headquartered in Richmond and not Manhattan for the past God-knows-how-many years.

Sir Robin, of course. That way you never have to get up to use the restroom.

Though I'd be Gallahad, and I'd stick around a bit longer in the Castle Anthrax.

It's not that the VA is more liberal about smoking, only that they are more in the pocket of RJ Reynolds and Co. After all, Richmond does have the world's largest cigarette, right off I-95.

The world's largest cigarette? Is it actually smokeable or is it styrofoam? Filtered or unfiltered?

Fletch - it's Philip Morris, not RJ Reynolds. I think they're in NC.
