Un-PC Hall of Fame
We here at the Rambler do not consider ourselves to be very PC. In fact, sometimes we can be downright distasteful. Sometimes, we refer to ourselves in the plural. So when I see or hear something that makes even ME stop and say "Wow," I feel compelled to share it with you. Today I just overheard a phone conversation where the term "diversity nazi" was used. What's distinctive about this phrase is not only the casual use of the word "nazi," effectively making light of the Holocaust, but the fact that it's actually oxymoronic by suggesting that one who seeks for greater [ethnic] diversity could also be a Nazi. So congratulations, guy across the hall, for the most un-PC term of the day.

Further expansion occurred when that blathering asswipe known as Rush Limbaugh popularized the term "feminazi" to show his disdain for equal rights for women.
As someone else already pointed out, Seinfeld was the last straw. It made all things possible with nazi...now you can be the parking nazi, the soup nazi, the only freshmint gel toothpaste nazi, the flip flop nazi, etc.
That other N word, I don't think, is open to such flippant use yet. Also I think that those who have direct connections to actual Nazi violence (as MPL points out) aren't so carefree about applying nazi to trivial inconveniences...
What a pile of mornonic bullshit!
If that is the case...then why can't white people say it to a black person?
I guess it's a '"Members Only" saying?
Please...
If we really wanted to take away its negative power, then everyone would be able to use the word openly and to whomever they want..be them white, black, asian, hispanic, whatever.
But no...blacks are the only ones that can say it without fear of getting beat up.
It is ridiculous.
Personally, I don't think anyone should be able to use it. It is a horrible word used to oppress. What's next? Are we going to start debating over the merits of calling ourselves a pickaninny or sambo?
Give me a freaking break.
Just throwing that out there....
