The Butterfly Effect* of Blogging
Just a quick side note on blogging... I was sitting in on a conference last week where a panel of Federal District Court judges were discussing the effect of a prominent Federal Circuit decision (exciting, I know). One of the judges noted that she had been browsing various patent law blogs to gain insight on the effect the decision would have on the bar. So there you have it, even Federal judges read blogs. Never underestimate the importance of your opinion.
*and yes, Geeks, that is a reference to Chaos Theory and not to a bad Ashton Kutcher movie.

So, Ladies and Gentlemen, if we can agree on nothing else, it is quite clear that allowing any attempts to patent new designs of kickball paraphernalia should be dismissed as little more than douchebaggery. The brain-dead cannot hold rights to IP.
Hmmm... Sounds like either Judge Collyer or Huevelle ~ these are the only two I can think of who are hip enough to blogging. I have to say I havent even read blogs based on circuit court cases.
But, glad they are trying to listen to the people.
Side note: The Butterfly Effect is one FUCKED UP movie...and of course bad. It just leaves you with an evil sick feeling, and not just because of the acting.
